I have never really known what came first for me: art or the horse. I think it was the beauty and power of the horse that drove me to attempt to capture that essence on paper and in sculpture. I guess that is why I enjoy doing portraits so much. The idea of capturing the beauty, power and spirit of each unique creature intrigues me.

Maybe that is why I am not much for just “general” horse paintings or sculpture. I like to portray the individual. My goal is to recreate for you your horse as you see him and feel him. What more can an artist strive to do.
